Every team’s goal is to be playing their best ball at the end of the season.

In the semifinals and finals of the district tournament against Ozark and Pottsville, the Subiaco Academy Trojans were doing just that. Unfortunately, in the first game of regional play, the Trojans played one of their worst game of the season.

A tough, foggy trip to Berryville was only the start of a long night as the Trojans seemed to remain in a fog when the game started. Shooting a miserable three-of-24 from the three-point line, the Trojans could never sustain any kind of offense. Too make matters worse, the Trojans fought foul trouble all night with Tom Myers being whistled for his second foul less than a minute into the game. James Taylor would set and eventually leave the game because of foul trouble.

Despite more than doubling the Pea Ridge Blackhawks on attempted field goals, 46 to 24, the Trojans could not muster enough to overcome them, partly because of losing the foul line battle. Pea Ridge went 18 of 21 at the foul line while the Trojans settled for five of six.

All in all not much went right for the Trojans as they endured one of the hardest-to-swallow endings in years. 51-36.
